“Regenerative farming provides scientific solutions to a very specific problem, our collapsing food production systems” said Arthuro Molineta last year. This year we have invited Antonio Roade from Lagar do Vento (Spain, Ribeira Sacra) to share his experience with regenerative farming.
A natural wine maker does not have the chemical resources at hand, that conventional winemakers use. No pesticides and herbicides to fight funghi or other diseases for you. At the same time, bio-dynamic and regenerative agriculture techniques do make it possible to work with the changing climate. Roade uses ancient techniques in combination with hi tech by for example Dutch company Nova Crop Control.
