Domaine La Grapp’A
– Arbois, France
Domaine La Grapp’A was founded in 2021 by Aurélie Parla and Julien Maublanc in the heart of Jura. Spread across 5 hectares on gryphée soils, their vineyards host a variety of classic Jura grapes, including the prized Pinot Fin, old Chardonnay masses, Savagnin, Trousseau, and Ploussard – some from vines over 80 years old.
The estate employs organic and biodynamic practices, including natural ground cover, plant-based treatments, and an ecosystem supported by their Kune Kune pigs, horses, bees, and fruit trees. Harvesting is a family affair, and in their 16th-century cellar, wines begin with cold maceration without sulfur, enhancing color and depth before fermentation. It’s here that native yeasts take charge under the guidance of Jura expert Jean-Francois Ganevat.
Domaine La Grapp’A’s range includes Musc’Alice, a natural sparkling wine named after their daughter Alice. This bright pét-nat reflects their dedication to family, nature, and craft.
