Dalle Ore
– Trissino, Italy
Dalle Ore is a biodynamic family estate in Trissino, in the volcanic hills of the Agno Valley in Veneto.
Founded in 1903 by Girolamo Dalle Ore and now led by Marco and his daughter Benedetta, the farm has passed through five generations.
The vineyards are surrounded by woods and meadows, preserving a rich biodiversity that defines the valley’s unique ecosystem. Here, local varieties such as Durella and Garganega grow alongside Cabernet Franc, Pinot Nero, and Riesling Renano, all cultivated under the Regola della Valle d’Agno — an ancient code of farming that values harmony between soil, plant, and environment.
No chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides are used. Instead, soil health is maintained through composting, cover crops, and biodynamic preparations guided by lunar rhythms. Mechanical cultivation encourages deep rooting and natural resistance, while the absence of irrigation allows the vines to find their own balance within the volcanic soils.
Moving to the cellar, fermentations are spontaneous with native yeasts; wines are neither fined nor filtered, and sulfur use is minimal.
The result is a collection of pure, transparent wines: bright with acidity, textured with minerality, and most definitely alive.
